Jack Ma appointed visiting professor at Rwanda’s African Leadership University

The world’s greatest business man, Jack Ma, the founder of the Alibaba Group company, has been appointed as a permanent professor at the African Leadership University (ALU) in Kigali, Rwanda. It is a responsibility given by this school.

In a statement released by the university administration last week it said it is “pleased to inform everyone that Prof Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba Group and the Jack Ma Foundation, has been appointed as a Permanent Professor at the African University of Management.”

The administration of this university says that the fact that Jack Ma is going to teach at this school will encourage young African entrepreneurs to seek knowledge that will allow them to expand their activities.

Dr. Fred Swaniker, the founder of ALU University, says that this school is expected to bring positive changes to the African continent, so being taught by Jack Ma is another step towards its goals.

He said, “Ma’s experience, especially in technology and innovation, will be a trigger for our students and inspire them to think big, look far, and more to implement their dreams with effort and purpose.

Jack Ma, who was given the task of teaching at this University of Rwanda, is already a mirror for many and has led to various positions such as being a special advisor for sustainable development goals. The mandate was given by the United Nations in 2016.

In 2018, he started a project called ‘Africa’s Business Heroes’ which aims to recognize 100 African entrepreneurs who have performed well, and receive financial assistance and training.

ALU University gave Jack Ma the responsibility of teaching there, while some time ago, his home university in China, Hong Kong University, also recently agreed with him that within three years, he is going to teach about job creation.

Last year, Jack Ma was also appointed as a permanent professor at the University of Tokyo in Japan and Tel Aviv University in Israel.
